A cyclist is fighting for his life after he was trapped under an Australia Post delivery truck for about an hour in St Peters.
Police say the cyclist and the truck collided at the intersection of May Street and Princes Highway about 9am on Wednesday.
Paramedics and a medical team worked for about an hour to free the 26-year-old before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with what police described as life-threatening injuries.
An Ambulance NSW spokesman said initial reports suggested he had suffered serious leg injuries.
The 59-year-old man driving the truck was not injured but taken to hospital to undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
